We check our homework and practise some more in the workbook and the on the photocopy. We start review of Unit 3.

1) Photocopy about adverbs

We talk about adverbs. What are they? What do they do? Where do I put them in a sentence? Hoa do I make them? We learn how to make comparisons with adverbs.

2) Workbook: exercises 4, 5 page 18, exercises 6, 7 page 22

3) Grammar photocopy: exercise 1 do the first 6, exercise 2 ALL

 

 

We take a short vocabulary quiz. We learn how to make other kinds of comparisons with as ... as and less ...than .

Last Week:

We start work on Lesson 2 and talk about ghosts and haunted places. We discuss modern monsters. We listen to a classic ghost story and learn how to make similes.

1) Study the glossary - prepare for a vocabulary quiz!

2) Make examples with the highlighted words in your notebook 

3) Make your own wanted monster poster! Remember to use:

- extreme adjectives

- compound adjectives

- comparative and superlative adjectives

- animal body parts

 

 

 

We learn everything about adjectives: what they do, where they go in the sentence, how they make opposites, how they become stronger and how they compare.

3) Notebook, write two sentences describing these three superheroes: a) Thor, b) Loki, c) Ironman

 

 

We read 3 texts about different mythical creatures and put in the missing sentences. We talk about describing appearance and character.

4) Write an acrostic poem about one of the mythical creatures we wrote in the notebook.
