Emoji Translator—Express Meaning with Words and Symbols
Description:
In this fun and adaptive vocabulary and paraphrasing activity, Ss use emojis to represent key phrases or sentences and then challenge others to “translate” their emoji strings back into English. The task strengthens vocabulary recognition, paraphrasing, and inferencing skills in an engaging, game-like format. It also supports Ss with limited writing abilities by offering a visual alternative for expressing meaning.
