School life and feelings

In this unit we will talk about school life and feelings, about good and bad habits and customs around. We will read an email, a menu, an invitation, we will also play games, revise vocabulary and learn new words.

Lesson 1: Do you like computers?
  1. Let’s start!!! Choose here to play a game and here to choose the right answer.

  2. Now go on with the reading from your Student’s book on pg26 and answer the questions on pg 27.

  3. Now let’s learn some new words to describe our feelings. Play the game as many times as you need!

  4. Time prepositions: on,in,at

Study the table from your Student’s book pg 28 and then do the exercise from eclass

 

  1. Homework!!! Make a mind map with positive and negative feelings and then upload it!!! Κάντε έναν εννοιολογικό χάρτη και μετά ανεβάστε τον στις Εργασίες στο eclass. Αν δεν θυμάστε πώς παρακολουθείστε το βίντεο

 

Lesson 2

Talking about habits: Good and Bad

 

  • Do the exercise to find out Alfred's daily routine

  • Now go to the picture dictionaries to revise words you know and learn some new ones about hobbies and daily routines

  • Go here to listen to the interview and fill in the missing words (exercise B).

  • Study the adverbs of frequency from Grammar focus

  • Homework: Write a small paragraph describing your daily routines and hobbies (Γράψτε μια μικρή παράγραφο περιγράφοντας την καθημερινή σας ρουτίνα και τα χόμπυ σας. Μετά ανεβάστε το στις εργασίες)

Project: EITHER Imagine you are a reporter from the school newspaper. You are writing a similar interview with a famous person you like and admire, like the one in Lesson 2, page 30. It can be an interview with an athlete, a singer, an actor/ actress, a writer, a painter, etc.

Write 4 or 5 questions and add the answers you got. Use magazines, newspapers, encyclopedias, the Internet, or the class books for your Greek lessons – eg. Anthologio for information.

You can add drawings, magazine pictures or anything else that can make your writing look nice.(Εργασία)

OR Make a list of your good and bad habits. Think about school, home, friends, parents, pets. Make a mind map of them on eclass!! (Εργασία)

Lesson 3
Customs around the world
  • Go to pg 34 on your Student’s book and read the text Customs around the World
  • Then go to pg 135 and read about the symbols of Great Britain. Now le’ts talk about that Find 3 things that you think are the most important to tell your Net friend Nadine in France. She is going to fly to London this weekend and you think she must know about them. (SB, pg 34, exB)
  • Cross-curricular project
  • Open your Workbooks. Let’s do some exercises: pg 11Activity A, pg 12 Activities A,B, pg13 Activities, C-D, pg 14 Activity A, pg 14-15 Activity C, pgs16-17 Activity F, pg 17 Activity G

Project Title: "Different Habits in Our Country"

Introduction: We're going on an exciting project! Each group will explore and share interesting habits from different parts of our country. Use pictures and texts on cardboards to show what makes each region special

Presentation Guidelines:

  • You have 10 minutes to show your cardboard.

  • Make it fun with drawings and pictures.

  • Everyone in the group should talk a little.

  • Share funny stories or interesting things about the habits.

Conclusion: Let's enjoy this project together! We'll learn cool things about our country's habits and have fun presenting them. Get ready for an awesome journey of discovery!
